Company Overview & History

About the Company

Founded in 1981 and headquartered in Paju, Gyeonggi-do, Jeil Decal Co., Ltd. is Korea's largest manufacturer and exporter specializing in heat transfer film. Drawing on decades of experience and technology accumulated since our founding, we have continuously pursued research and development, successfully localizing heat transfer film production and contributing to design innovation across the plastic exterior industry and beyond. We operate an in-house graphic arts (design) department to deliver products optimized to each customer's needs. After thorough review of customer-requested designs, we engineer with consideration for material characteristics, application processes, and finish quality, then realize them precisely as heat transfer film—delivering high-completion, stably-quality products at reasonable prices.

About the Company

Technology & Production Infrastructure

We strengthen our competitiveness by internalizing the production infrastructure that is core to quality and reproducibility. Our cylinder fabrication system, equipped with state-of-the-art laser-stream cylinder (copper plate) engraving facilities, supports precise pattern realization and stable production, while our ink manufacturing system—backed by strong R&D capabilities—continuously advances the overall performance of our products in color reproduction, durability, and process stability. Our heat transfer films are decorative films applicable to a wide range of materials, including various thermoplastic resins and lacquer-coated wood substrates.

Business Introduction

What is Heat Transfer Film?

Heat transfer film is an eco-friendly dry printing process that transfers a pigment ink layer or metallic layer formed on a continuous carrier film onto the surface of a product to be decorated. The greatest advantage of heat transfer is the ability to apply full-color, multi-layer images to plastic and lacquered wood products in a single process. Transfer is performed under controlled heat and pressure on hot-stamping/heat transfer equipment, forming a strong, stable bond between the product surface (substrate) and the transferred layer. Because the entire image is transferred at once, mis-registration issues common to other printing methods are effectively reduced. The heat transfer process is a highly effective solution for the diverse challenges encountered in plastic decoration today.
